In the issue, the 25-year-old actor – who will be seen in Detroit, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Pacific Rim: Uprising in the next year – opens up about getting advice from Robert Downey Jr. and Orlando Bloom.
John asked his agent to set up a meeting with RDJ so he could get advice on being famous. While eating waffles at the Iron Man actor’s house, Orlando just happened to pop by.
“I’m not used to any of that stuff, hanging out with Iron Man on a day-to-day basis,” John said. “I was just like, ‘Bloody hell. Is this how the celebrities do?’”
The one thing that John mainly wanted advice on was, “Women. Women, women, women.”
“It’s nice to survive with your companion by your side. I’m sure it’s a good thing. But I’ve never experienced it. And people advise you as a celebrity, ‘Make sure you get someone who doesn’t care about your career.’ Mmmm…I disagree,” John told the actors. They agreed that “she has to care about it to understand it.”
