I spent a few hours last night figuring out how to get my new Clie T-665C to sync with Jpilot on my Redhat 7.3 desktop.

I wrote down everything I did. Check it out here:

This often-mentioned page just talks about coldsync, so I figure my own page dealing with jpilot can be helpful.

I added on the commands to mount the memory stick since the kernel version listed in the article supports it without additional tweaking.

The instructions came from this page (http://milnber.gotadsl.co.uk/clie/memory_stick.html).

Over the past few days I've been running into big problems syncing the Clie on Linux, primarily due to other USB devices being used on the desktop.

I have a scanner and digital camera that I connect via USB. The scanner is always plugged in but the camera is plugged in only when transferring pictures. I figured pulling out the cradle usb plug and powering it off and on would fix it, but at this point, even after a cold boot the machine says the USB port is in use.

I'm not sure how to clear it up, but will add on a troubleshooting section to my docs once I do.
