Hey guys,

New to the board. I have just upgraded from my sony n760c to a Zire 72. I have been trying to play mp3s with background playing enabled so I can do some other work. If I leave the screen idle for the time set in preferences for auto-off, the unit turns off after that time, even thought the mp3 player is still going! Any help would be appreciated.

peace,
Stuart

The only way Real Player will continue to play after the screen shuts down is if you are in Real Player. You might want to look in to AeroPlayer or Pocket Tunes, either one is so much better. My personal choice is AeroPlayer. Here is a good comparison review by the one and only TankerBob although a bit out of date.

Thanks for the tips. I figured that new software was my only option. Just annoying that a small thing like "turn off the auto-off" isn't built into the OS.
Thanks a bunch,
Peace
