Alright, the title itself says it. I want to know what is the equivalent of these PC programs so that I can have them on the go in my palm. I'm sure that this will help out others too that are into graphic design. So let's help each other out!

-Q:Photo editing software such as Photoshop.

-A: ?

-Q:Anything like Macromedia Flash.

-A: ?

-Q:Adobe Illustrator or anything like it.

-A: ?

If you can think of any other program that can be added to the list that involves graphic design, or know the palm equivalent to these PC programs; be more than welcome to post.

P.S.- Money is not an issue, but it would be nice to know of som freeware too.

Vector drawing? You might consider Leonardo

I've not read of anything for Palm or PPC that creates Macromedia Flash SWF files.

I doubt you're going to find anything that's anywhere near equivalent to those programs on a palm anytime soon. Those apps require lots of processing and memory power from a computer, and I doubt we'll be seeing them for PalmOS anytime soon.

If money truly is not an issue, you could look at the OQO: http://www.oqo.com/ or a mini-laptop.

When I said money wasn't an issue I was thinkin that the most I'll pay for a kick***** app will be around $100. But I think buying a completly different device for that much is too CRAZY. I do agree with you though; I just wanted to see if anything like it was available. Thanks anyway. :)

Photo editing = Moe Paint, and it's free. It even has layers. The link I had is down though, so you might have to google it.

Flash = I don't know of a Palm app that allows Flash CREATION. If you want to build presentations from a PC desktop, supposedly Kinoma does it.

Illustrator = probably Leonardo. I tried it, but didn't have enough use for it to purchase. Seemed okay, but that was an early version (a year or more ago).

I took a look at these apps and found out that they're not that bad. Ofcourse they won't replace the original or even come close to reproducing what the PC/Mac versions do... Well at least not for now... Who knows what the future holds for us. Thanks again for posting everyone. I hope that this helps or has helped someone out there. :)

I can second that MoePaint is very good, especially for freeware.

As for Leonardo, is it still being actively developed? Last time I checked the site, there hadn't been any updates in a while...

does anyone know if MoePaint can load images from the expansion card? or if there's an add-on that lets you do that?

Yep. Just create a new image and use Import Image from the top menu. You can then browse your card for jpg and bmp format images.

Thanks Antboy.

new question: can you export to JPEG, or just to BMP? Since the site is in some other language (Japanese if i remember), i have no idea what's what on there, thus the stupid questions i'm asking.
