Zire 72 Security - DO NOT USE

Just a gentle reminder that the Palm Zire 72 security (in all its beautiful fanciness) does not work.

Auto Lock>After Preset Delay kills your battery. You must then perform a Hard Reset to get it back to life.

There might be parts of Security that work but I'm too lazy to experiment. I cannot find any patch/update on the Palm (http://www.palmone.com/us/support/zire72/) site either.

What is security? it's function in Zire 72?

I noticed that too, I thought for a while my Z72 was defective. I don't suppose anybody else has this problem or better a solution?

This is actually quite serious, its a major flaw. I wonder if palmOne know?

I foolishly tried it last night and awoke to a dead palm this morning. Revived now, but annoyed.

ya.. my palm will heat up and need to reset after that... coz it doesn't turn on if whan i push the on button.
