Here in Italy I am not able to get my Zire72 to connect to the WEB via a BT
connection with my Nokia6310i and GPRS provider.
I was hoping that someone could fill me in on the correct settings and configuration of the Zire72 (and anything particular concerning the cell phone configuration).
5 hours on the phone with various tech-support experts of my cell/GPRS provider (here in Italy :TIM ) didn't get a connection working , and most of the guides I ran accross couldn't help either
(ie - http://www.geekzone.co.nz/content.asp?contentid=2785)
I seem to have gotten close once ,at least the connection got through to the server , but got an error message " authentication failed", all other combinations just seem to time out with no reaction on my Cell (Nokia 6310i),
or "PPP....." etc...
My GPRS provider tells me a script should not be neccessary, as well as no "username" or "password", and tel-num is to use is *99#. (one tech-guy gave me Primary/secondary DNS #'s, while another told me to check of "Query DNS". Quite a ridiculous situation !
Please let me know what I need to do to finally get a connection
with this constellation going.
Thankyou kindly for your help,
Joe :(
