The 49-year-old Ray Donovan actor decided to adopt the dogs while appearing on Live! with Kelly & Ryan on Wednesday morning (September 6) in New York City.
The show featured 15 dogs who used to live at a shelter in Texas that was affected by the flooding. All of the dogs were available for adoption and Liev said on the show that he wanted one for his sons Sasha and Kai.
While FaceTime-ing with ex-partner Naomi Watts and the boys backstage, the family decided to take two dogs – one to live with Liev and one to live with Naomi. Watch the video below!

“We were in an intimate setting and everyone knows each other well and trusts each other. Next thing you know, there’s some music involved and we did some dancing,” Naomi said.
Jimmy then asked about the types of moves his former crush Nicole did and Naomi said, “She’s a good dancer.”

“It’s definitely not just one thing. There’s a lot of hope and love, it’s a dysfunctional family but there’s a lot of love between them,” Naomi expressed. “Jeannette Walls‘ story is very empowering because she basically embraced herself but it took a long time getting there.”
Regarding the many projects she has out this summer, including the film Book of Henry and the Netflix series Gypsy, Naomi jokes: “I’m sure everyone’s sick of me by now.”

The 27-year-old actress and Naomi, 48, were joined by writer Jeannette Walls and director Destin Daniel Cretton, as they also sat down for a special Q&A following the screening.
While promoting the flick, Brie also opened up about her decision to take the role of Captain Marvel.
“The Captain Marvel thing was something I really spent a lot of time thinking about,” Brie told USA Today. “And eventually I came to the conclusion that being part of a giant feminist film that can be a symbol for people, that was one I wished I would have had, just outweighs some of the small annoyances (of fame). Like, they’re really small in comparison to the good that it can do.”
“I do kind of have fantasies of battling The Hulk, just because that’s, like, it’s just visually so good,” Brie added.
