Claude Debussy (1862-1918) wrote this piece in 1890, revised it, and then published the final version in 1905. It is the third piece of his Suite bergamasque and translates to Light of the Moon or Moonlight. This is one of Debussy’s most famous works and has been featured in movies (Ocean’s Eleven) and numerous arrangements of it have been made. It is very impressionistic and one of the most beautiful pieces ever written for the piano. This is my performance of the piece played on my Yamaha CLP-585 digital piano.
