.Hurricane Chris is moving right along to the northeast and should begin to weaken and transition to a post tropical cyclone over the next 2 days as it passes close to Eastern New Foundland. The remnants of Beryl are sitting in the Bahamas and could regenerate over the weekend off the East Coast but it does not appear to be any threat. Elsewhere the weather remains in typical mid July mode however the Southwest is getting some thunderstorms and flash flooding. Watches and Warnings are up for parts of Southern California and Arizona. Long Range the pattern favors a rather active trough in the Eastern US which means hot weather will be limited. There are implications if this pattern holds into the month of August.
