Body and Soul" is a popular song and jazz standard written in 1930 with lyrics by Edward Heyman, Robert Sour, Frank Eyton and music by Johnny Green. "Body and Soul" remains a jazz standard, with hundreds of versions performed and recorded by dozens of artists. In fact, to this day, "Body and Soul" is the most recorded jazz standard. This is Diane Schuur's amazing version from her album In Tribute. I was fortunate enough to see singing this song on her tour for this album. Along with this are images of the iconic works of Tamara De Lempicka. She was in huge demand in the 1020's and 1930's and would epitomize the cool yet sensual side of the Art Deco movement. As you can see from the images here, she was mostly famous for her unique portraits in which she used what was referred to as "Soft Cubism". Enjoy!! Thank You For Your Comments.
