Papa John's founder John Schnatter has resigned as chairman of the pizza chain's board after admitting he used the N-word on a conference call in May this year. Schnatter, a Trump donor who has resigned from three high ranking positions in the past six months as a result of racist remarks, admitted he had used the slur in a statement issued to Forbes on Wednesday.  'News reports attributing the use of inappropriate and hurtful language to me during a media-training session regarding race are true,' he said. Following Schnatter's resignation, the company announced Olivia Kirtley will act as lead independent director, and said it would appoint a new chairman in the coming weeks. Schnatter appears in the chain's commercials and on its pizza boxes, and is still the company's biggest shareholder.
